How DigitalHealth teleconsults work
- Create or sign in to your DigitalHealth.sg account. Verify your identity once with Singpass or an NRIC selfie check.
- Share symptoms, measurements, and any photos. A care concierge can help you upload supporting documents before the doctor joins.
- Connect with the doctor over secure video. Expect focused questions on onset, risk factors, medications, and red flags.
- Receive your care plan. The doctor documents treatment, advice, and any DigiMC or referral required. Pay securely and arrange medication delivery or pickup.
Tip: Prepare recent readings (temperature, blood pressure, glucose) and current medications to help the doctor make faster, safer decisions.
When teleconsult is appropriate
Good fit for video consults
- Acute respiratory symptoms (cough, sore throat, mild flu)
- Gastroenteritis without severe dehydration
- Skin flare-ups such as eczema, hives, or mild acne
- Migraine or headache without neurological warning signs
- Gout, urinary tract infections, or medication refills for stable chronic disease
- Travel health advice, contraceptive counselling, and repeat prescriptions when clinically appropriate
Arrange in-clinic or emergency care
- Chest pain, breathlessness, or stroke-like symptoms
- High fever lasting more than 72 hours or accompanied by a rash
- Severe abdominal pain, uncontrolled vomiting, or suspected appendicitis
- Trauma, open wounds, fractures, or deep burns
- Pregnancy-related emergencies or young infants under two months old
- Any situation where the doctor cannot safely complete an assessment via video
Our doctors will halt a teleconsult and direct you to in-person or emergency care whenever video is unsafe or insufficient.
Pricing and delivery
Teleconsult fee
$18 per consult (inclusive of GST). Includes the doctor consultation, clinical summary, and any DigiMC or referral issued.
Medication and delivery
Medication is billed per prescription. Courier delivery starts from $5 and typically arrives within three hours. Self-collection is complimentary.
Payment methods
Pay securely via credit or debit card, PayNow, or corporate billing (where prior arrangements exist). Receipts are emailed immediately.
Compliance, privacy, and continuity of care
- DigiMC validation. All medical certificates are issued via mc.gov.sg with QR-coded verification.
- PDPA safeguards. Consultation data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and stored in Singapore-based infrastructure that meets MOH requirements.
- Co-managed care. Need a physical follow-up? Our doctors can refer you to partner clinics or provide your records to your chosen GP with consent.
- Medication counselling. Pharmacists and coordinators confirm drug interactions, dosing, and special handling before dispatch.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to download an app?
No. You can access the teleconsult queue directly at onlinedoctor.sg on any modern browser. Optional mobile apps for iOS and Android are available if you prefer push notifications.
Will I always receive a medical certificate?
Medical certificates are issued only when the doctor finds you clinically unfit for work or school. They are generated through DigiMC with QR-verifiable details. Requests to backdate or guarantee MCs are declined.
How is medication delivered?
After payment you can select fast courier delivery (typically within three hours) or clinic pickup. Delivery partners require the six-digit verification code in your consult summary to hand over medication.
Can my employer verify the consult?
Yes. Employers can scan the DigiMC QR code or email hello@digitalhealth.sg with the MC serial number. We can also provide a consult summary upon your request.
