HealthHub Singapore: October Release Notes and Patient Use

This old URL pointed to a HealthHub October release article. We keep it live because the digital health lesson still applies: records, reminders, and patient portals are most useful when they support timely clinical decisions.

Digital care should help patients move from information to the right next step.

From feature release to care journey

A feature release is only valuable if it changes the patient journey for the better. In practice, useful digital health flows help patients find trustworthy information, prepare for consultation, and follow through after the doctor gives advice.

For teleconsults, the same principle applies. The process should be transparent: register, join a secure video room, speak with a doctor, receive advice, then handle payment, MCs, prescriptions, or delivery only after assessment.

Using HealthHub before a DigitalHealth.sg consult

If you have access to official records, use them to confirm medication names, recent vaccinations, screening results, or chronic-care follow-up dates. This reduces guesswork during the consultation.

Clinical decisions still need a clinician

A portal can display information, but diagnosis, prescriptions, referrals, and MCs still require a doctor to decide what is appropriate for the patient in front of them.
